Catapult Services Ltd had the privilege of providing all the medical event cover for the entirety of the Ashridge House Illuminated Christmas Lights Trail Event which ran between 29th November 2024 – 1st January 2025.
This festive lights trail at Ashridge House had over 20 magical light experiences and was Hertfordshire’s largest Christmas light trail running during this period. The event was last held in 2022, but this latest Illuminated event covered much more of the grounds and had many more light installations.
Thousands of guests enjoyed this Christmas event with just under 3000 guests attending the event throughout the evening at its highest peak.
The large scale footfall of guests meant that co-ordinated and sufficient cover was needed at the event in case of any medical emergencies arising during the entirety of the event – covering young to old guests, all staff and contractors on site, and the food vendors present serving guests food throughout. The event required extensive planning, co-ordination and communication with the Event Organisers to ensure that the right medical provision was in place at all times throughout the whole event from start to finish.
As the event was scaled up significantly since the last Illuminated back in 2022, it meant that more medical cover was required as the light trail was much larger and lengthier and there were many more light installations and features for guests to see this time round.
It was a heart-warming event which we thoroughly enjoyed covering and working with the Ashridge Events Team on – we are hoping and looking forward to be providing medical cover for their next Illuminated Event later this year during Christmas once again.  The Event Organisers are aiming to make 2025’s Illuminated even bigger and better than that of 2024; we thoroughly look forward to meeting the challenges that will bring.
